The search for the hottest new unsigned music talent around is back. For the fifth year running, Virgin Mobile's Road to V with Sony Ericsson is giving two talented acts the exclusive opportunity to open V Festival 2008. Want to be one of them? Read on...
Get in on the act
We're throwing open the competition to artists, acts and bands from all genres... so if you've got it, we want to hear it! Sure, we might have grown, added stuff in and changed it around a bit, but what hasn't changed is that Road to V is still all about the music... and that's it.
A little help from our friends
Take thousands of talented acts and only 14 places in the final up for grabs, and we've got one tough job on our hands. So, what do we do? Get in some of the music industry's top people to help us out, mix it up with what you, our legions of loyal new music fans think, and then hand select the final 14 acts who'll be joining us on the road.
On the road with the finalists
Each shortlisted finalist will take to the stage at packed-out venues in London and Liverpool for the ultimate opportunity to win new fans and impress our panel. This is your chance to play some of the UK's major music venues, pack up your gear in the tour van, hit the road... it's the stuff that dreams are made of. And, if playing packed venues weren't enough, our panel of music industry experts will be right there too, offering advice, support and helping you on your way.
Come with us
Load up your demos, put up your homemade music videos, show us your photos and keep a blog... whatever you want. It's time to get creative, and this is your chance to shine. Every week we'll also be picking the best videos to feature on the homepage, and who knows, they might even make it onto the TV show, which'll be going out on Channel 4. So, even if you don't make it through to the final 14, you're still in with a chance to be seen. And you just never know who might be watching...
