TripManhattan makes music. Stuff you can sing to, swing to or just sit and think. Influences are wide, from the ever present pop and indie scene, through various shades of rock, tinged with blues and a hint of jazz, and beyond. The sound is served up through the classic guitar driven front; with strong female vocals giving it a well meaning twist. Lyrics reflect the mood of the song; catchy, poignant, often wearing a heavy disguise. It's got energy, vibe, edge and meaning. It rocks without falling into cliche (sic). We have chosen a selection of numbers for the demo, including rocky and light material; all taken from our '3rd Favourite Chord' EP - visit our website: www.tripmanhattan.com for more.

I went along to a recent gig at the barge in Brighouse after some gentle persuasion from a work colleague and didnt have any great expectations from the evening. It was a pleasant surprise, Trip Manhattan played lots of foot tapping numbers with energy and with musicians that are clearly talented. I also loved the great sound quality as i didnt expect this from a live performance
