The More Assured are a hardworking 4-piece from London whose critically acclaimed debut single (self-released in November 2007) sold out in a day. The band are currently working on putting an album together and have their second self-released single coming out later this year.
Their debut was played by Zane Lowe on Radio 1, playlisted on XFM and featured by Steve Lamacq on BBC6 & Radio 1. They were also hyped by Fearne Cotton on her Radio 1 show last weekend and one of their demos was recently voted Song of the Year on a commercial German radio station.
Disinterested in hyped conversation and false promises, the band manage and release themselves, organising everything and making it happen. They match their creative musical output with blogs, videos, personal contact with every fan and promotional stunts that have received coverage in papers and magazines worldwide.

Wow. I could never get enough of this band. I've seen them live four or five times, and their performance at Road to V blew the competitors away. All their songs are catchy, however not in the disgraceful sense, like Britney Spears, but in the way that you're in a sense of idyllic happiness and any sadness previously felt is forgotten. They're all such talented musicians and lovely people. If they don't win. Then this competition needs new judges.

The More Assured should definitely win, i happened to see them at the road to V gig for the first time and they blew me away! their songs are so good and catchy and they have amazing stage presence, perfect for a big stage like at V festival. plus they are all really fit!!!!i'd do 'em. but seriously.... really good band, definitely deserve to win.

I really like More Assured, great catchy songs and really good stage presence, would certainly be a good addition to the V festival line up - they should win along with Alexis Blue :)

found about these guys when they jumped over the gates at the st. trinians premiere and tried to rape Russell Brand. ******* hilarious. great music, didnt manage to get to the V gig, my texts for tickets went ignored but just watched it online and looked amazing. best interview by far --- all the other bands are boring as hell and V festivasl needs a shaking up not a dumbing down.

these guys, floors and walls and alexis blue are the only bands worth considering

The More Assured ROCK. I love how they move their groovy little bodies around the stage and how they translate deep, sometimes dark lyrics into playful pop tunes with sinister undertones! I love 'All in your head' and their tunes just keep getting better! if only they could be at V festival!! They would be so wicked and i KNOW people would love them. Whoever says crap about the lyrics or the fact that their "indie" doesn't reflect on the band, it just reflects some bitter opinions of unsucessful, floppy haired boys who have nothing better to do than listen to genres of music which they do not like just to post bad comments. GET A LIFE. The More Assured for V festival!!!!!!!!!!

Finally I managed to register on this ******* site! I have to say I'm blown away by your stuff, there are sooo many good songs, I have something like 30 of them on my ipod! I've been a diehard hardcore screaming fan since someone played me 'lets go for a ride' last week and I was like wooah who is that! and ***ted all your songs down as quickly as I could. Good luck for V you've got to win, if you dont I'm storming the virgin offices and putting you as headliner. Good luck you legends! "Pigs.Have.Wings. You just need to find them!"

charliechalk you just posted that on loads of profiles... what 'rubbish indie band' does a song like 'You Dont Know'??? The answers in the title! Good luck More Assured, go get 'em! xxx

Oh, absolutely love your music. So much fun to listen to, so much fun to see live as well. What more could you ask for? Really it seems childish to be putting terribly unconstructive criticism on this page. All these bands are just trying to do find people who WANT to listen to their music. I realise that it is perfectly within your rights to say you do not like it, but to actually take time to write down generic negative comments citing "unoriginality" as their problem seems like a major waste of time that could be spent supporting bands you like. In short, love The More Assured, and I really hope you guys win!

Ahh!!! yet ANOTHER rubbish Indie band!

BORING BORING BORING, A BUNCH OF PRETENTIOUS W*****ERS THAT PRANCE AROUND SHOREDITCH WITH JACKETS BRANDISHING THEIR OWN NAME. I bet Kate Nash and Penate and the rest of the posh easy streeters love this band. Worst thing is theyll probably win. What a joke
The Low Lights
after reading some of the reviews i feel compelled to write something, there seems to be a lot of negativity surrounding indie bands nowadays, thats fine if you dont like the bands dont listen to them. There are many genres of music if you dont like a certain style thats fine im in a band and we have supported the more assured when they came to cardiff and we have supported a bunch of bands- including the enemy and the view when they were starting out.alot of bands thought they were the shit and dont even talk to other bands.however The More Assured were an absolute ******* pleasure to support. Great Guys Great Live and genuinley really interested in the other bands. I hope these guys win . Go get em more assured! excuse the rant
