Married to the Sea are the long-awaited hit factory, forged from the wreckage of Milk & Business Owls, though, more accurately, you could think of them as a new band with more instruments, songs and sex appeal. and the answers to questions you'd usually ask your parents. Plus some dynamite. With influences ranging from The Weakerthans, Death Cab for Cutie, The Arcade Fire, The Postal Service & loads more, Married to the Sea play diverse, face melting music.

Quite good

Quite fresh yet weak sounding at the same time. They could be openers though.

ok, secondly - i dont think the issue of a band playing at another festival affects whether they deserve to play V in the slightest, otherwise there'd be very few bands on here (mama shamone played a few gigs at glastonbury for example) i also wish i'd seen situationists when they played their round, the episode with them and these guys was better than any of the others by far

i have to say im surprised by the feedback on here - i was at the glastonbury show and these guys were really good... despite the obvious technical difficulties that seemed to be happening before they started (i'd like to add it was my friend who shouted 'get on with it', NOT at the band but at the person introducing the acts who was keeping everybody waiting with speeches while the bands were onstage - and then proceeded to knock all the equipment over!) it was a good start to things before the festival started properly on the friday in my opinion, certainly a lot better than the rascals i havent been on here in a while as a few of the posts i've tried havent loaded properly, hopefully this one will prove different...
dankojones
if they had a chance to play at glastonbury this year why do they need to play at V?

cant say i was blown away by this band, better bands in the final 14 x

I saw them at Glastonbury too as part of the Liverpool 08 culture afternoon at Leftfield. I'm sorry to say guys but you looked very unprepared and people were shouting 'get on with it' at the start, it was a poor set and I'm sure it would go down just as bad at the V festival
samantha
i saw them at glastonbury also, as part of the Liverpool bands afternoon. I have to say similar to the previous poster. Not very captivating, and not the best band from the afternoon, nor this competition. Didn't want to comment on them until I had seen them because I like the tunes, but can't see them opening the festival.
charlieboi
not bad on record, saw them at glastonbury though and was far from blown away

I don't understand how people can call these guys unorignal... they have got such a fresh new sound and are really quirky, as well as being sweet-ass musicians. Good to see you at the liverpool gig, hope you win guys! ps this website sucks balls

Who is this Bad egg, creepbiz? Arcadian can say what they want mate and how they feel about other bands competing- they Rock, unlike some of the bands on here that want to do something else. I'm one of their supporters, and if you think that's 'untelligable' tell me, why invite people to comment on bands when its never taken into consideration in the first place anyway? God bless Arcadian, but good luck to these guys Married to the sea, I hope it goes well for you. DJ Jungle x

this reminds of the whole furore when i first proposed we sign mike oldfield back in the day. there were a lot of haters back then too. i remember the other shareholders saying to me "who is this prog sack of shit, rich? and what the hell is an electric keyboard anyway?" well, i've gotta tell ya, i wish all of the bands who entered could play my festival but unfortunately i was on a round the world ballon trip when my team decided it was gonna be a competition. Peace and love. - richard x

billy rebels name comes from rebelling against the current trend of having friends, and instead being a billy-no-mates

I hope Billy Rebel's name is homage to Billy Idol's "Rebel Yell"
