All girl punky-pop burlesquey yummyness!!!

Band members

  • Vix (Lead Vocal and guitar)
  • Bexx (Bass and Vox)
  • Louise (Drums and Vox)
  • Sarah (Lead guitar and Vox)

Bursting from the ether realm called the Uber-Vixen Dimension, flame-haired, singing and guitar-playing rock goddess Vix is perhaps best known up until this point as the lead singer/songwriter of all-girl band We've got a... Fuzzbox...and we're gonna use it!!

The schoolgirls chanted indie anthem Rules and Regulations as feisty punkettes and evolved into kitsch pop queens, singing songs about Pink Sun-shininess and International Rescues. So wide was their appeal that the fuzzchicks achieved the rare feat of appearing on the covers of Smash Hits and NME in the same week. You couldn't turn on the TV on a Saturday morning back in the late eighties without seeing the gals pouting over your tea and toast, and the charts were well and truly bothered.

Now though, things are different; All fired up after touring the UK as backing vocalist in Ginger and the Sonic Circus, the foxy Vix has assembled a bostin brand spanking new band bursting with talent and brimming with sexy, burlesquey yumminess.

With 4 part vocal harmonies, guitar solos that would make eric clapton weap, bass that could blow the pants off Ronnie Size and Drums more rhythmical than a Brazilian Festival, they are The Kix - hear them roar.

ViX n the Kix have already succesfully toured the UK, including three sell-out dates in London, Birmingham and Edinburgh, as well as a couple of festival appearances in the Middle East, and will be touring from the Spring to promote the cracking new forthcoming album Moon On A Stick, which has been produced by Neil "Thor" Darbyshire (Wildhearts, Ginger and the Sonic Circus, Julian Marley), Mark Wallis (Debbie Harry, U2, Razorlight, The Smiths) and Vix. Conny Bloom (of Hanoi Rocks, Electric Boys, Sonic Circus) is executive producer.

The hooks in this album are so strong that they're gonna get ya eventually, and with a live show that is visually and audibly astounding, why not just relax, and submit to the melody-filled loveliness now?

Go on, do yourself a favour - get a Vix fix!

  1. Emphasize

hey everyone, come check out some unique music (rock/rap/funk) here from Emphasize (http://www.roadtov.com/profile/44167). They're a 'history in the making' band from London and just what road to v needs.

Blah Blah Blah isn't the only style they play you know! You got to listen to other songs www.myspace.com/vixvixvix so much variety not like most bands who have every song the same and the album is a bore after the first few tracks. Isn't the album out soon? June? I can't wait any longer!

  3. Jadey_Face

Fab Female Band - best of the midlands - always on top!

  6. sace

It's like the second coming of Veruca Salt. No, the Pretenders. No, the first coming of Vix & The Kix! Awesome, talented ladies who do indeed rock, and until I see a an all-female answer to Battles, I'll be very happy with a consistently poppy band such as this 'un. :)

Hi girls. Seen ya a couple times in Brum and thought you had potential although I must say, you need to pay more attention to your live sound. There wasn't a sound engineer at the gig but then surely you should've hired someone? In this game I think it pays to be professional about all aspects of the performance - not just how you look. There also seems to be a BIG difference between your live stuff and recorded. The song used to represent you in your playlist here does not reflect how you sound live. Somehow you need to bridge this gap. Vix, you used a guitar that looked really cute but sounded a bit rubbish. Buy yourself some good gear so people will take you seriously. A guitar is not just for looks. It serves a purpose - to add texture to your songs. Good luck!

It does make me laugh when people jump right in when they obviously haven't seen the band live. Just because they are different, just because they are original, just because they aren't what everyone is churning out at the moment. What are you afraid of, that the girls are gonna do better than you? It's not about names it about the fun of performing on stage, and if you are so scared that you have to openly slate a band for being original, and playing something different to what your shallow little closed box of a mind is used to, especially as you obviously haven't seen them live, then I pity you. Oh and by the way, the singing is in tune, god only knows where you learnt to pitch hehe (ViX teaches singing and vocal training)

Please guys..listen ..if out of tune "singing" is your things then fine, if old girls trying to recapture their youth is your thing then fine...drop all the names you like - it don't make it good. Short skirts, red-lips feeble attempt to deflect dont wash - poor..but hey use your charms to the max.........new clothes syndrome

  14. Vuitton

    Woo!!! you guys rock!!

  15. rokfanatik

I loved Vix when she was in WE'VE GOT A FUZZBOX AND WE'RE GONNA USE IT but VIX N THE KIX are EVEN BETTER! So fun and sexy and girls that can really outplay any boys I agree! I wish GINGER would go out with the SONIC CIRCUS again. she was amazing as backing singer!

  16. Miss Bones

    Bestest band ever!!!!! ;)

  17. Damon

I managed to catch them when they played Birmingham Barfly a while back. I have to say they were awesome, a great band, technically and very tight. Definitely worth a top rating in my books, and they deserve the chance to prove their worth on Road To V. Girls Rock better than guys!!!

  18. djadam

One of the finest new acts about, after a year of pouring their punky-pop anthems out across the globe, they are focusing their energetic and bouncy live performance on to the British Public. Catchy and technically written songs, and a visual look to die for, ViX 'n' the Kix are a must for any festival, these girls never fail to disappoint. www.myspace.com/vixnthekix

  19. djadam

Good to see Vix back since the old Fuzzbox days, and definitely better than ever!!! Come on V!!!
