Walk.DontWalks music embodies energetic guitar rock blended with a pithy punk attitude and a ska tinged edge. Quite simply, this concoction produces music that makes you want to dance and sing your heart out. Hailing from the West Midlands they found themselves stretched beyond the local scene and ventured to London looking for the brighter lights and more lost souls to convert to the Walk.DontWalk ethic. After just a single taste they were hooked and soon found themselves as favourites with promoters and playing regular slots around the UK and on the London circuit. Thus followed stints supporting the Paddingtons, the Young Knives, and Vincent Vincent and the Villians to name but a few. In 2007, not happy with just playing live Walk.DontWalk locked themselves in a studio with Loz Brazil (Arctic Monkeys) and self released a sell out EP entitled "Flings and roundabouts". However, it is Walk.DontWalks never failing emphatic, energetically charged, live performances which have earned them a devout following of fans throughout the UK. Frontman Rob delivers his everyman's accessible, yet insightful, lyrics with passion and verve. The songs are full of catchy phrasings and sing-along choruses depicting drunken debauchery and the girls that got away! Vocal harmonies are added by Chewie, who furthermore injects the tunes with layers of melodic, quirky keys and sublimely soulful trumpet lines. On drums, Paul's unyielding clinical beats propel the tunes, often exuding a stop-start, choppy drive which is executed with an almost surgical accuracy. Dan holds it all down and provides the bottom- end with trippy-yet-solid, funky basslines that are guaranteed to make you move your feet. Recently, Walk.DontWalk beat a thousand other bands in a "Slice The Pie" showcase and scooped the first prize which entitles them to a £15k non-refundable payout to record their first album which is due for release summer 2008. http://www.myspace.com/walkdontwalkuk

That's where I left my Ordinary Boys CD.

Good hooks, catchy melodies interesting live show, full of the joys of living and bouncing around! would make a good festival band methinks.

dankojones, if you have seen their show, this band were excellent and this song is so catchy. I also think you have them confused with Imperial Leisure... With a bit of help I recon these guys could be big.

This band should be renamed. "Play. No Dont." There's just too much going on here and not enough of a song underneath it. 'Oh-oh-ohs' do not make a song. Its alright but relying on the ten members a bit too much to make a big sound. Good luck though, Im not here to be a ****.

what a fun, happy upbeat band! Finally, a band that doesn't sound like every other band. Just watched the show and you guys stole the show with your original sound. Fantastic trumpet. Good luck and hope to see you at V!

These guys are amazing with an individual sound. Any band that can get a crowd dancing like that has my vote!

Tuneful and interesting but not as attention grabbing and long lasting as i would have liked. Good luck :]

Just watched the channel 4 show tonight and I'm relieved to finally see an upbeat band that I'll want to dance to as the sun (hopefully) shines at V this year. The two tracks that these guys played left me wanting to hear more.....hopefully at the festival as they open the channel 4 stage! Good luck guys! Cath x

Great live band, will get the V festival off to a great start if they win, which they surely deserve to. These guys are the standout band on road to V by a mile!

A decent enough band, but they definitely don't live up to the hype that Mark Beaumont is going on about in Webisode 2 - but then again what does he know! And the girl in the video that said they're different to the rest - they're pretty much the same, but with a trumpet - hardly groundbreaking in any way, brass been done a lot recently - rumblestrips, zutons to name a few. As I say good band but I'd be dissapointed if they were winners

Nice riff. Girls will have the attention span to stay and check them out. A bit buzzcocky me thinks.

Nice sound going on with this band - which unfortunately for them gets old rather quickly.. It would be great to dance to them on a sunny afternoon at V festival, however not for 20minutes or so, maybe just in passing on my way to the beer tent in the rain, sorry guys, good show but not my favourite.

I keep thinking i hear snippets of other songs in this

Nice song. You and Alexis Blue were the best 2 bands from both of the Liverpool finals. The Wednesday date was terrible. Impressed by you and hope its either you or Alexis Blue who win. Good luck, i love your music.

Walk. Don't Walk are an amazing band, especially at their live shows! They blow me away every time I watch them, and I just can't help to smile and dance to every single song! I couldn't think of a better band to open V and share their brilliant tunes with the whole world!
