Combining End-of-the-world Panic with Euphoric Synths and Sledgehammer Guitars, "You and What Army?" have created a completely unique style, making crowds rave, bounce and mosh out to every show they play. Featured on Channel 4's MobileACT TV show and getting to the top 11 Unsigned bands in the UK, earning a slot in the national battle of the bands final, hitting rock sound magazine's readers poll as the 2nd best unsigned act of 2007, being featured on BBC Radio and racking up a massive myspace with fans across the world, "You and What Army?" have hit the scene hard, forcing people to take notice. Live shows are a sight to behold, infectious energy backed by the atmosphere of lasers, strobes, smoke, UV create a truly epic experience, and having played to crowds of over thousands in the west midlands alone, they are ready to bring their style to the rest of the world. Lead Vocalist/DJ/Synthesizer player Dave unleashes his furious screamed raps over hardstyle trance beats and Drum'N'Bass loops while experimental guitarist Joe performs somersaults whilst making noise over Bassist Darren's thunderous riffs, with Drummer Zak holding them all together tightly. Insane, take-notice performances with flawlessly executed musicianship means that "You and What Army?" are a band which demands live recognition.

I've seen YAWA 3 times now, and they never fail to impress. With their eclectic crossover of musical styles, they have an instant appeal which they utilize expertly, worming their way inside heads with hook laden riffs and memorable lyrics, till the point of obsession. If any band deserves a spot at V festival, it's these guys. good luck to them, see you at your next tamworth show lads. Matthiasman
