Fusion of soaring melodies, phat grooves, and seductive samples

The origins of 2Storeys began when founding members David and Alistair teaming up with drummer Darren Moyes in 2005. The musical collaboration gave exposure to a considerable amount of material written by the members over the preceding years that was just waiting for the chance to grow into more sophisticated productions. 2006 saw the arrival of singer and front person Angie Gray. Coming from an artistic, theatrical family background Angie honed her singing skills through session work with various producers in Glasgow. Her powerful soaring vocals defined the new direction of 2Storeys culminating in the release of their debut self-titled EP. Its three singles range from the euphoric, electro anthem Annabel Lee to the more sultry Mosaic and magnetic-pulse of Two Stories Up. Working on an album for release later in 2008, the new material has stepped up a gear to characterise the discernible sound of 2Storeys combining exhilarating melodies with punchy, colourful odd-time numbers and epic, bold multi-layered productions.
