The music of Lunic is a fusion of classical and rock elements combined with a sultry yet dynamic female lead vocal often compared to Regina Spektor, Tori Amos, or Shannon Wright. The colorful sweeping violins, tension-filled Muse-esque piano runs, and heavy electric guitars create a thrilling blend of highs and lows: quiet empty space accompanied by barely a whisper erupting into a sudden climactic crescendo of aggression and controlled chaos. Lunic takes you on a journey, both peaceful and epic, complex yet accessible, original yet somehow familiar. Once the 5-piece hit the stage it's hard to look away.

I love the violin. Both songs are really good aswell. I just wish there was more of Don't Look Now

  6. Kaitee Page

"Listen to Kaitee Page’s dense, classical arrangements and her angelic yet dynamic voice and it’s hard to believe it’s only been two years since she launched her all-out assault on pedestrian Pop Rock armed with her piano, violin and hitherto unknown songwriting chops. What’s not hard to believe is that she has been classically trained since the age of 8 and she’s quite the globetrotter, originally from New York and currently living in London (via LA, Nashville, etc.). She must have sucked the musical soul from these locales via osmosis, and now she channels them through her incisive and gorgeously arranged songs. Page wowed a local crowd at the Chicks Rock Fest earlier this year and this MPMF performance will mark the climax of her "Midpoint Mini-Tour," backed by an A-list group of Cincy Rock vets. You’ll Dig It If You Dig: Tori Amos, Dresden Dolls, Amy Winehouse’s "good" sister." -Citybeat (Cincinnati, OH)

I love the song 'Dichotomy'. It was the reason that I became interested in Kaitee Page and her band (now 'Lunic'). If you like bands like Muse, give Lunic a listen.

I saw Lunic play live recently, and have to say they were awesome!!! Great energy in the music, infectious melodies - cool, original, and epic rock.

Where to start to review kaitee page/LUNIC? I'll consider her from three points of view (there are many more!): Firstly she is an accomplished musician who combines playing the violin and keyboards with varied but always 'different' vocals. Having been to several of her concerts I can say that the performance is every bit as good as the recordings and with the added excitement of her actual performance. I would have thought that it was quite a feat to transmit the excitement that an artist feels while being 'tied' to a keyboard, but kaitee accomplishes this exceedingly well! Secondly she is a songwriter whose lyrics are full of feeling and emotion and whose melodies are a unique and far from simple blend of rock and classical sounds. I really appreciate the fact that kaitee puts the lyrics to her songs on her web pages they are well worthwhile reading separately. Thirdly she is a smart cookie presenting herself on the Web as a three-dimensional complete person especially to the many people who would otherwise not be able to see her by visiting one of her concerts. She is a complex lady that I have a great deal of respect for and know that she will make a big impact on the music-buying public before long.

I love this band!!! This is one of those bands that has created their own unique style. Rock, classical instruments and poetry are all blend together in Lunic!

  11. Lidewy

Lunic with Kaitee Page fronting this hot new band is a must in the line-up of any self-respecting music festival! Lunic is melodic power and Kaitee Page a dynamite singer, violinist and pianist. Lunic is brilliantly blending classical music with rock, but be prepared to delight your ears, Lunic can't be categorised ;-)!

We have better live videos than the one that's posted
We tried to upload a better live video but for some reason it wouldn't work on this site. In the video that's posted, the soundguy didn't run any violin through Kaitee's monitor so she can't hear it and is signaling him to turn it up... (in case you were wondering)
