Band reviews

V Festival will be a poorer place without Alexis Blue. Hope to see them at other festivals anyway!

  2. elhadjidiouf

What a complete waste of time reviewing and rating - the judges obviously payed no attention to this - Alexis Blue were the most rated and positively reviewed band from the Liverpool heats but still didn't make it to the final 4 - this competition is a joke and quite obviously the winners were chosen from day one. Alexis Blue will be missed at the V Festival, and I hope they go on to prove you wrong! Very disappointing competition indeed

  3. benreav

If Alexis Blue are not in the 2 opening V Festival then it is a fix! - These guys deserve it; they even deserve to be playing even higher up than opening. What more do V Festival goers want? Intelligent, catchy, fun, original, bouncy, summer music which all can enjoy.

  4. DanMini

alexis blue should open v festival because they were the best band on road to v bar none. they had the crowd dancing and are something different.

  5. TeeJay

These get my vote. I had heard of them before Road To V but their TV performance made me take interest and was very impressed. Their music appeals to all ages (all of my family) and is beyond addictive. Alexis Blue to open V Festival. Tracy

Great band, great songs with great hooks.

  7. ptgreen

this band have brilliant songs with hugely witty and clever lyrics. for an indie band to sing about scientology, stalkers or dyslexia and shy away from cliché love based songs is a first and I find it very refreshing. what shocks me is the songs on here are far from their best ones, where is altar ego, dyslexics or passive aggressive?? live they are epic and on record they have a wonderful sound. v should be theirs.

  8. jameslo

THE band for V! A group who are known to be on fire live and always touring. If they are wanting summery, catchy, smart and entertaining music to open V Festival then AlexisBlue should be the band of choice. They already have a good festival record, why add them to V?!!

  9. creepybiz

there seems to be a lot of push behind these guys but i dont think they're ready for it - i can really see them looking back and cringing. by all means take a give them a chance, you'll definitely be taking a big chance though

  10. dankojones

these guys, floors and walls and the more assured are the only bands worth considering

  11. Eggface

    pRETTY good

  12. pigshavewings

Alexisblueforthewin will just make fans of other bands hate Alexis Blue, thats a shame cos you guys are alright

  13. GordInd

Wow - Weird band these lot. Not 100% indie. Not 100% ska, pop or rock. But surely 100% catchy, unique and fun. They offer the festival going crowd something different but can appeal to those with a more mainstream taste. Overall this band do what they set out to do very well and deserve to be given the chance to take it to the next stage, literally. 5 Stars (Charlie Chalk - You posted that same comment for 5 bands on here)

I have been into music since I was young and for years I have been fed up with bands who can't create music but are popular because they all have multi-couloured jeans on or wear white sunglasses bigger than my house. When I heard this band perform I took the biggest breath of fresh air. A new crisp, fresh sound with extremely catchy lyrics, chord progressions, drums, you name it and it's done with skill. This is the only band I have seen in years that could get the music industry out of its dark hole of groups that don't know what a chord scale is and dress like they are from Bangkoks transvestite scene. Fantastic 10/10

  15. Charlie Chalk

Ahh!!! yet ANOTHER rubbish Indie band!

  16. LancasterP

Best Unsigned UK Band. They are Breaking The Routine :] Fresh, fun and fantastic watch live, judges - These should kick off V in style.

  17. smellmycheese

Simply amazing and pro act. There is a reason these guys have supported so many signed acts and are one of the hottest tipped bands from Liverpool. Their music is clever and appeals to a wide range (from metal fans to pop to dance). Their road to v slot showed their great crowd interaction and catchy music. A very talented bunch who would be the perfect choice for V Festival.

  18. kimmeh

love these guys! Their music has be bopping away at the front and are just what v festival needs as an opener! set was full of singalong and dancealong songs perfect for first thing in the morning at a festival! alexis blue and the more assured for the win!

  19. Masterofpuppetts

Alexis Blue would be a fantastic addition to the V festival. Merseyside may have produced another great band. They are the best unsigned band I have heard for many years. If these guys do not open the V festival the organizers will be missing out on one of the best opening bands for many years.

  20. Eleri-the-fairy

Best band by far, they got the tunes and are bound to get people dancin along on the day. Me and my mates got tickets and hope to be seein ya's there Alexis Blue :-]
