Debut Album Update
Hello Lovely People! Thought we'd give you an update on our album. There should be 12 tracks. Most of the drum tracks are down and we had a great session of vocals over the weekend. We even played around with some percussion! Next are the bass tracks and guitar... It's all coming together well and we should make our headline release gig date for June 14th at the Queens Hall in Narberth. www.thequeenshall.org.uk/month4.html#tidylike Let us know if you would like to pre-order your copy. Also, don't forget to support us on Global Icon TV. Things are moving well and we have a great opportunity to get tv exposure and gigs. It would be perfect timming with the festivals, etc. Here is what you can do. Please go to www.globalicon.tv create a profile/scene (it's quick) and look us up. Then find 'In the Evening' on our profile page and rank the song. You will see 5 different slider bars so put them as high as you want. 0-100. The higher the better. We are in the top 4 (numb 3) but need to stay there. Thanks for your help and we will let you know how we do! See you soon! Damian, Dom & Guy -

The World Is Your Lobster
Prescot is infact off the lobster and on the great white phone to God. I wonder if he could get a word in for Pocket Lips. The guys rest impatient. I am crazy with indie shoe gazing. I love guitars but feel ostrocised from playing one. Guitars are McDonalds of music. So John I understand. I want to puke with you. But tonight the world is Pocket Lip's Lobster http://www.roadtov.com/profile/45213 -

Wino Adventures
Maybe it is just comeuppance for a band who spend a barrel-scraping £550 on an old rusty 91 Vauxhall Midi Mini Bus (previously owned by the Harrow County Council for transporting the Blind and their Dogs). A bus with more welding spots than real panels, and a pair of holes in the drivers-side window with a pair of nails driven into the door dressing to keep the window from sliding open (oh yes, if only direct line new who was fleecing whom).
Nonetheless, confident in our trusty transportation (number plate letters: WNO = Wino) we struck forth with 2 weeks holiday from work and a round trip of the country booked in various piss-pits from Birdham to Birmingham.
Our first stop, Greenwich London, where we were to launch our new EP to the masses…had we remembered to bring them. Ah what the hell it was still a nice venue and set to be a good gig. And a good gig it was. Some snotty media student even filmed us on some crappy rented college camera (huzzah, more fodder for youtube).
In fact it wasn’t until the culmination of our musicification that any sort of bad luck or ill karma occurred. It was to fall, as we loaded our two synth cabs, guitar amp, 2 bass cabs, bass head, synth, keyboard, keyboard stand, 2 basses, 2 guitars, mic stands, mics, pedal boards and entire drum kit into the van. Aswell as promising no less than 3 friends in addition to the 4 band members a lift back from London to Chichester.
The problem arose at exactly 2:17am, I can be this specific because it was as I looked up from my watch that I saw Emma, a look of shock blended confusion blended fear upon her, holding in her hand a stubby silver key. The key was not dissimilar from that which opened and started Wino the Bus. They were akin in fact, the only major difference was that Wino’s Key was much longer. It was then that I realised, as did we all that what emma held was the severed remains of Wino’s key, the only key to wino and the only possible form of transport we had available to us at 2 in the morning in London, 150 miles from home, with a bus full of musical equipment and friends.
We spent the next hour scurrying about the pavement and road in ***t of the severed tip like a ravenous bunch of rats or possibly homelesses.
At 4am the AA finally showed up with a huge tow truck just chuffed that they had to drive us all the way back to west sussex.
At 6am we arrived back in Chichester, exhausted, keyless, and 400 miles from our next gig.

haven't been to v for years. Just when I was beginning to feel old I saw these boys. V you have to put them on!
franrobbo
My God...Pure Genius! Keep up the good work...LOVE IT!
Dace
Repetitive and if this is the best she can do. KC's gonna be workin at KFC, and not on stage. Okay, maybe that's a little harsh, but the point still stands. Speakin of which, the point of the song is pretty good.
Dace
I wanted to close this almost immediately - because its just like all of these other so called "indie" bands. Boring and same-y.
Dace
This track is VERY good. If you disagree without an actual VALID argument, then you're just another one of these millions of unoriginal people who claim the bullshit title of "indie" and claim they know music cos they've been to a few gigs and have they're own two bit band. I'm not saying this band is the best in the world, but they're certainly better than most of the bands who'se only idea is "hey, lets copy him!"
Dace
Good but the vocals are all weird and high pitched. He shouldn't rap.
Dace
Pretty good. Sounds alot like a more modern Ian Dury and The Blockheads... Not as good as the blockheads, of course, but still good.
writerGrrl
The Union is amazing. They're not hxc or anything, more like the sort of music you would listen to in the car on a long road trip. Think campfires and watching sunsets on the beach. However, unlike most pop music, their songs are neither bland copies of better work nor ear bleeding monstrosities made by people who would be nowhere without their looks. Their sound is original, their vocals are wonderful and they've got a few guitar solos that are eye popping (but they should upload more songs and PROVE IT!) Please give this band a chance, you won't be disappointed.
joeywatchthestars
These guys and The Rebs deserve the slots at V - just awesome, it's time for bands with REAL songs!
MasterChimp
They are quite simply one of the most exciting bands out there at the moment, in one word amazing.
Mr Burns
Too ******* right!!! Hope the cameras got me next to that girl with her tits out too! SHALLOW CALL!!! Next big thing!!
Mr Burns
.Shallow Call were amazing. They played like they really meant it and loved it, regardless of who was watching. I'm SO glad I went to the road to V gig. If the judges are the experts they're supposed to be then this lot must be a shoe-in for V. I'm ordering my tent now boys!
RachieB
I loved the gig last night, even though these guys were first on (always tough to be on so early), they still got the crowd going. They played a tight set and I thought that the new tunes worked really well. Tambourine, cowbell and keys add a little something extra. Well done guys... I hope you don't take too much notice of the abuse on here. Sounds to me like some people are just jealous. Alexis Blue were made finalists for a reason...coz they've got talent!
Apollo89
I love Mama Shamone. All their songs are great. I think my favourite is Something Beautiful. I wanna see em live!
The.Biscuit
Pretty good guys, saw you in London, see you at V... Fingers crossed.
Banksy
Oh my GOD!! Message me if you went to the Road to V gig last night!! How AMAZING were the shallow call??? I was gutted when they didn't to an encore. Truly truly great!
