Named after an Indian restaurant in northern London, Bombay Bicycle Club have made incredible strides for a band still at school, having already opened V Festival and headlined several London shows - all before they can have a beer to celebrate! With the completion of their studies the priority for 2007, they're still finding time to work on their debut album and play gigs, supporting fellow Road To V winners The Young Knives on part of their tour.

The band formed in school in 2005 after two friends, singer Jack and guitarist Jamie, decided to form a band. The pair enlisted a promising jazz drummer, Suren, and another pal, Ed, who had been playing bass for just six months, and instantly gelled. The new four-piece found it hard to get decent gigs, however, so they entered the Road To V competition on a whim, thinking it was "a prank" when they eventually found out they were through to the finals.

Decidedly mature for their age, Bombay Bicycle Club have already worked with Jim Abbiss (producer for the likes of Arctic Monkeys, Editors and Kasabian), as well as receiving rave reviews from NME, Virtual Festivals and the Big Issue. Inevitably, being in a rock band while being in school has been a challenge, and the band are still unsure where their future lies, but the Bicycle fan club is growing by the day. Only time will tell.
