So you want some help do you? Fair enough, well this year we're going for a slightly different approach. Instead of trying to imagine what questions you will be frequently asking like "...will I be penalised for wearing drain-pipes, winkle-pickers and a haircut like a semi-shaven Alaskan Malamute?'', we have decided to give you the following email address from which we will start to grow a comprehensive archive of your more sensible questions and post them up here for all to see: roadie@roadtov.com

So what does "unsigned" mean then?
Wondering what counts as "signed" or "unsigned"? Read on to put an end to confusion.
Never released a thing?
Then rock on and get your Road to V entry in. Road To V is all about finding the best new unsigned bands that haven't broken through yet and giving them a leg up in the music industry.
Released a single as a download?
As long as you haven't got an exclusive recording deal and are not tied to a label, then you're still eligible to enter Road to V. So go for it!
Got an exclusive deal with an indie label or a major label?
Then we're really sorry, but you won't be eligible for Road to V. Hopefully you'll have all the support you need to make it to the big time - and good luck from all of us! We'll normally check deal status during the competition. But we understand that deals vary a lot these days and things change all the time, so we'll take this into account, too.

On a slightly more technical tip, here's some other useful information...

What kind of things can I upload?
You may upload most kinds of audio files although we prefer MP3.
How long can my video be?
There is no time limit on your video, but the video file you upload must be less than 50 MB in size.
What video file formats can I upload?
We accept video files from most digital cameras and video-phones including AVI, MOV, MPG, WMV and 3GP formats. We'll do our best to deal with these kinds of files, but sometimes even these can use an unsupported codec, in which case your video will be rejected.
How do I embed tracks on my MySpace profile?
If you go to any of the band profile pages, you'll find a bunch of banners and a line of code that you can link to from any site you like.
Videos wont play, whats wrong?
